It is been long since I wrote my blog.Life turned out to be fast and I was running. So I took a break to continue my passion-Writing.You may be curious on what is this post about.Well,I am not going to keep you in suspense for long!It is the most common journey one takes...Commuting to our work place.Yes!I am going to write about the journey I take to reach my workplace.
Now I settle down and take my ear phones and listen to some soothing music. As the music reaches my soul,I start observing my environment(As a techie,i use technical terms;-)In Indian local train, you can find all categories of people and their interesting stories.
A group of ladies start gossiping about their families, work and recipes. Its interesting to hear all these funny stuff.-Eaves dropping is not good, but when you are in a local train, you just cannot help listening;-)
Suddenly you hear vendors screaming their products. You can see a wide range of products at an affordable price for 'aam adami'.Hot onion samosas arrive and you simply cannot resist them. You get veggies at a low price and they are farm fresh!!!.You name it and you get it in the train. We can get all"Girlie stuff"(Trinkets, key chain, clips etc....)Then we can see school kids with heavy load on their back, giggling with their friends hurry to their school .Seeing them you will remember your old school days(Such nostalgia). Then you can see corporate world speaking their heart out to their dear ones regarding corporate stress and Iam one among them:-).Then you have people playing games in modern gadgets and you can see a new range of phones,laptops/i pads.I feel like people are always rushing to achieve something or other.I sit back and think why this mad rush is and train comes to stop.
Life has become so fast and hectic and only in local train,I can get some time for myself and I enjoy that 'quality time':-)Many new friends are made and life is made exciting by knowing each other..And it is time for me to get back and think what to prepare for dinner(back to the mad rush).Life goes on......
I work for an MNC and as everyone knows MNC'S are located outside the city in India. So minimum of 1 hour travel is required to reach my workplace.Luckily I fall in the category of less travel(1 hour;-))!
I take Chennai local suburban train for my commuting.I board my train from Chrompet to Parnur(MIPL).
Suburban train is the most common way of transport as it avoids traffic jam and it is fast.So I am no way out.In suburban train one can see entire new world there contrary to world on platform. It is like 'Life on wheels' One has to climb foot over bridge to get to the platform(It is too tiring at times!!) and wait for the train. Finally the train comes overloaded....and we need to squeeze in half an inch space. I finally squeeze into the'Ladies'compartment and now comes looking for vacant seats. All seats are filled.I desperately pray for a seat. And at last I find little space and finally heave a sigh of relief.Getting a seat in an over crowded train is like winning a marathon. Now I settle down and take my ear phones and listen to some soothing music. As the music reaches my soul,I start observing my environment(As a techie,i use technical terms;-)In Indian local train, you can find all categories of people and their interesting stories.
